Welcome to China! The Chinese culture consists of many traditions and so many yummy dishes. The reason I chose to explore Chinas food history and traditions was because it has always interested me. It is a culture that I am not as familiar with, but a culture that I am very excited to learn about.
Chinese cuisine is widely seen as representing one of the richest and most diverse culinary heritages in the world. A meal in Chinese culture usually consists of a starch such as rice and noodles and then either something consisting of vegetables, meat, or fish. A very popular meal would be the sweet and sour chicken or pork. Its is a bright orange-red color with a sweet and sour taste. Not only being very popular in the Chinese culture, it is also a very popular food choice for people in the united states.
The food culture of China is different in each place. The eight Chinese Cuisines consist of Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Szechuan, and Zhejiang. Each cuisine is different in ways of food and traditions. The first main crops included foxtail and broomcorn. Later on wheat and rice has arrived from Asia. I have always enjoyed Chinese food and I am excited to explore its culture and see where it all started from.

I've always thought the Chinese culture and traditions were interesting and creative. I've been to China Town in Chicago throughout my whole life, and it is so much fun to go there and try the food there. Even though we do have Chinese food in America, I am sure it is not nearly as good as China!
